Wanda Piccolo
Chief Executive Officer
Wanda Piccolo is the owner of B & F Technical Code Services, Inc., and has served as Chief Executive Officer since 1990. Mrs. Piccolo has more than 20 years experience in the code enforcement industry. She manages all the business and financial affairs of the business, as well as setting policies, operating procedures, and casting the vision for corporate growth and development. Utilizing her background in both business management and electrical engineering, she is the driving force behind the company's products and services. In addition to her responsibilities to B & F Technical Code Services, Inc., Mrs. Piccolo is also responsible for the development and implementation of a subsidiary company, the Building & Fire Code Academy. As further credit to Mrs. Piccolo, in just 16 years she has taken both companies from ideas to nationwide leaders in the industry.
Richard A. Piccolo
President
Founder and president of the Building & Fire Code Academy, B & F Technical Code Services, Inc., and the Illinois Institutional Fire Training Corporation, Richard A. Piccolo brings more than 30 years of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to his work.
A Vietnam War veteran, Mr. Piccolo began his civilian career as a firefighter with the Elk Grove Village Fire Department in 1971 where he utilized his knowledge to conduct community education programs and fire protection code enforcement.
During his 18 years as a firefighter, lieutenant, and public educator, Mr. Piccolo also became involved in other construction disciplines by conducting building plan review and mastering model codes and standards, understanding the positive impact of code compliance. Among his many achievements, Mr. Piccolo holds a degree in Fire Science and has earned the top certification in his field as an International Code Council Master Code Professional. He holds 19 certifications in building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection codes, and is recognized nationwide for his contributions to building code enforcement.
Kenneth Garrett
Vice President
With his profound municipal background, Mr. Kenneth J. Garrett performs his duties based on years of experience in the building code profession. He is a Master Code Professional and a Certified Building Official. Before joining B & F Technical Code Services, Inc., Mr. Garrett served as the building and zoning administrator and the assistant director of community development for two municipalities. As the administrator at B & F Technical Code Services, Inc., Mr. Garrett oversees the daily activities of the company, providing leadership and guidance to the staff. He manages both technical and non-technical employees. An essential member of the company, Mr. Garrett uses his executive background to make decisions leading to the achievement of company goals.
Joe Godlewski
Director of Technical Services
Certified Building
Plans Examiner, Certified Building Inspector (Commercial and Residential), Certified Mechanical Inspector (Commercial
and Residential), Certified Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner, Certified Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector
Mr. Godlewski has over 9 years of code enforcement experience. He has both municipal and independent code consulting
experience having worked with B&F Technical code service for 6 years and Lake Havasu City, AZ. For 3 years.
During this time Mr. Godlewski has also served as project coordinator for numerous large projects as a representative
for B&F Technical Code Services.
Richard Blondin
Director of Quality Control and Staff Development
Mr. Richard A. Blondin's notable career boasts an impressive municipal background, with 30 years' experience in the code enforcement arena. He has been responsible for enforcing the adopted building, handicapped, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical codes on local and state levels. He is a Certified Building Plans Examiner, Certified Building Inspector, Certified Fire Inspector I, Certified Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner, and a Certified Property Maintenance Inspector.
As Director of Quality Control and Staff Development, Mr. Blondin will review the work done by the company’s plans examiners and reinspect developments already inspected by the company. The goal is to ensure the continued high-level of service and attention to detail that has made B & F Technical Code Services, Inc., one of the largest code enforcement consulting companies in Illinois. Mr. Blondin will also work with staff members on their career development, which will include mentoring new employees, helping staff members with their continuing education, and ensuring that all inspectors have or receive the proper certification.
